Apartheid Free Zone

Community door

A space · a shop · a room · a union · a street

Make a zone. Keep it. Find the others.

This is not a copy of the international AFZ campaign pages. Those already exist. This is a complementary door: a community platform that makes it easier for ordinary people and spaces to become part of the movement — with clear steps, honest limits, and company along the way.

What we are

An Apartheid Free Zone is a place that will not sell the goods, host the events, or take the contracts that keep occupation and racial domination running. One café. One bookshop. One union branch. One festival. Then a network that can hold.

We sit next to BDS Greece, BDS Netherlands, and the BNC campaign — not instead of them. If you need the official toolkit, we point you there. If you need a human door in Athens / the diaspora, you start here.

Easier entry

Short path from “I care” to “my place has a line and a practice.” No jargon wall.

Community, not cosplay

Zones that last a week are posters. We help people stay in it: check-ins, questions, neighbours.

Realistic, and then more

We name what you can actually drop this month. Then we ask what a freer street would look like if you kept going.

The path (realistic first)

  1. Look. Shelves, suppliers, guests, tenders, sponsors. Write what is complicit. Be specific.
  2. Drop one thing. Not the whole economy on day one. One contract, one brand, one booking policy.
  3. Say it. A window sign, a site line, a letter to members. Public is part of the zone.
  4. Stay. Put a date for the next check. A zone without a return date is a mood.
  5. Link. Tell us. Find another zone. Borrow courage. That is the platform part.

Hate of a people is out. So is treating “security needs” as a blank cheque. Palestinians are people, not content.

Declare a zone

Write from a real place. We read every note. We do not sell your name. If you are not ready to declare, say that too — ask for help starting.

The map

BDS networks already list dozens of zones. Our map here starts with people who wrote through this door. Empty on purpose until the first honest one lands — with their words, not ours.

No zones listed here yet. The first one that means it will sit in this space.

What this is not

Not SolidMove

SolidMove is the movement spine: organize, teach, hold. This site is the zone door and the community around spaces.

Not a clone of AFZ.gr / NL

We do not replace their lists or toolkits. We complement them with a softer on-ramp and a place to write when you are mid-way.
